hey it would have been eser if you put jedi becuz of there arogance it lead to the fall of the republic but palpatine was also the brains so it was he was responsible in one way or another

Well I put Jar Jar Binks because if it wasn't for him Palpatine would have never got emergency powers and wouldn't have been able to use the clone army or something like that.

The correct answer isnt there. The entire jedi order brought about the ressurrection of the Empire simply by not taking into account the growing darkness and the surge in the darkside that were being experienced by dozens of the orders finest. Instead of keeping up training in hand to hand combat, they all went about learning how to deflect blasters and force heal people and negotiate, when they forgot that the Jedi of old were warriors too! Sure they fought when negotiation failed, but they overestimated their power after 1,000 years of peace. Furthermore, simply by adhering to the strict discipline of the Jedi Code did they bring about their own defeat. Instead of allowing love into their lives and learning to control it only when neccesary, they took themselves from one of the most basic and "light-sided" emotions there is. By teaching against the darkside for so many millenia, they taught their students to fear it, which is the path to the darkside itself. 99 percent of the order focused on the here and now, and did not even reach out into the Unifying Force. When a Jedi did become mindful of his future, all he would be able to sense is cloudiness, which they aloud to further dim their vision by ignoring it. By not beleiveing stories 6 years before the battle of geonosis that Dooku was behind several illegal attempts to gather munitions and supplies. By not following up leads about gigantic force build up in the outerim for several years. By proceeding to Geonosis to rescue 3 captives, and allowing the memories of lost comrades to cloud so manys' vision, which once they tried to fight against it in the coming years with their teachings brought about the very conflict in themselves which pulled them out of the order. By becoming generals in the Grand Army of the Republic, instead of performing their own missions against the Seperatists by themselves. By not sensing for 13 years the growing corruption in the republic, and greater, the Senate.

i say plapatine but realy it depends on wat way you see it there was many factores that decide the fate of the jedi

i agree the jedi contributed to their own demise, but i also think anakin played a major role, and i think palpatine played a major role. there would have been no empire if the jedi would have admitted their decreased abilities. if anakin had not of defected to the dark side, palpatine would have been killed by mace windo, and if there was no palpatine, there would have been none of the aforementioned problems.

Really it was Anakin. Many factors would point this out. Palp did start the whole thing and plan it and carry the whole thing out, but without Anakin Mace would have gone to the Palps and told him to retun his emergancy power. When Palps refuses, Mace would have attempted to arrest him anyways and it would have gone on much the same exept with out Anakin messin with it.

although all of the factors contributed, the main 3 had to be palpatine, anakain, and dooku, the later being the real power suplier.

Reagardless that palpatine and anakain were the some of the strongest people in the star wars universe, they would need an army and powerfull allies to be succesfull at galactic conquest. Thats why I beleive the biggest power contributer to the empires rise is Count Dooku. He had the idea to order the clone army from the kamoniens (at least im pretty sure it was him ). and wilst numbers don't win a war, numbers defenetly are in the equation to winning it

Power levels, times, number of persons

Cause if there wasn't an army then their empire wouldn't have even ben able to sustain for very long, let alone at all
